  1) What does BAME stand for? black, asian,minority and ethnicity 2) Why is there a need for blood in the BAME community?  Donors with  Black or Asian heritage are more likely to be rare blood types. These rare blood types are essential in the treatment of patients with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia which mainly affect patients of black and Asian heritage respectively. 3) What does this advert want people to do once they've seen it (the 'call to action')? 4) Why have the producers chosen famous BAME celebrities to feature in the advert? Advertising case study 2: Audrey Hepburn Galaxy Advert

  1) Why is the advert set in the 1950s? What audience pleasure does this provide?   The advert is set in 1950s because this was when Audrey Hepburn made her most successful movies.  The advert is set on the luxurious Italian Riviera which creates intertextuality and nostalgia – two key audience pleasures. 2) Who is Audrey Hepburn? Audrey Hepburn was famous actress from the 1950s and 1960s.  She was fashion icon and model. She died age 63. 3) Why did Galaxy select Audrey Hepburn for this advert?  The used her because of her star power and to make the product more luxorious.  4) What is intertextuality?
